Please post the full log file. Also list the specs of your devstack(openstack) machine(e.g cpus,memory,physical/virtual).

Thanks Saqib
Here you can find the full logs

The  details of machine you can see here. In short around 250GB RAM, 2TB HD

Also our network has a proxy. I put proxy on the script files. Is there any proper way in PNDA to put the proxy?

Hey Khawar,
There are couple of problems that I see:-
1) First , there is some problem in your os package manager. Try to manually run sudo apt-get/yum update, on cation-cdh-mgr1/edge/dn-0 machines and fix the errors with the package manager that come.(you can easily find solution at )
2)The salt highstate command  fails on mgr1 because of that os pkg mgr problem and not proceeds to install and create mysql database.

3)You can manually run these salt commands in your cluster. The scripts are in /var/lib/heat-config/heat-scripts/ on saltmaster node of your cluster, which can be run directly from shell. Salt state system will make sure that the system is in desired final state as described in /srv/salt , no matter how many times you run the scripts. The script that are of your intereset are (salt state.highstate and orchestrate) and contain something like below. You can also manually run from saltmaster #salt "cation-cdh-mgr1 state.highstate" and then see the salt log files on mgr1.

#!/bin/bash -v
set -e
set -o pipefail
salt -v --log-level=debug --timeout=120 --state-output=mixed '*' state.highstate | tee salt-highstate-$(date +"%F-%T").log
date +"%F-%T"

Please ask furthur if you have any problem.I apologize for the late answer.

Hi Saqib,

I installed successfully the pnda stack on OpenStack. I checked the logs and hit some errors. Could you help me?
