While installing PaNDA on OpenStack Mitaka, I am getting following failure:
2016-09-13 16:59:41 [deploy_install]: CREATE_FAILED  Error: resources.deploy_install: Deployment to server failed: deploy_status_code : Deployment exited with non-zero status code: 100
2016-09-13 16:59:43 [pnda-cation]: CREATE_FAILED  Resource CREATE failed: Error: resources.deploy_install: Deployment to server failed: deploy_status_code : Deployment exited with non-zero status code: 100

 Stack pnda-cation CREATE_FAILED

Unfortunately, it doesn't give any details. I looked into OpenStack logs, and it looks like apt-get is failing. I am trying to debug networking issues on the OpenStack created network for PaNDA cluster. I would like to login to Salt Master instance and debug network reachability for Ubuntu repos. How do I login to Salt Master and debug connectivity issues. My other instances on OpenStack cloud can reach internet.
Thanks
- Prasanna

I think you are using PNDA Heat provisioning and so, if you look at the documentation on the PNDA guide or the README of https://github.com/pndaproject/pnda-heat-templates, you will see that for connecting to an instance based on PNDA image:

ssh -i <your_private_key file> cloud-user@xxxx

where xxxx is the IP of the bastion.

Can you reach the internet directly from your OpenStack env or are you in a lab behind a proxy?

Hi Prasanna,

I am facing exactly same problem. Could you please let me know how you fixed that issue?

Thanks in advance
